SPIED: That Was FAST! BMW Readying An X3 LCI, Already?

Though it seems like the all-new BMW X3 just appeared yesterday, it seems that BMW is already futzing around with some of its details at the front and back of the vehicle. This is a bit premature, at best, and considering the X3 seems to have gotten a warm reception via its sales figures, we can't figure out for the life of us why BMW would be readying some new treatments.

Could it be to adhere to new changes that are being applied to the entire BMW lineup?

Take, for example, squared off "angel eye" headlights a la the BMW M3 DTM racer? They've appeared on the updated BMW 7-Series and new spy photos have placed them on the LCI 5-Series.

The 2013's are out, so this wouldn't happen until 2014 models. Shouldn't be a surprise -- after the third or fourth model year BMW always does an LCI. The X3 came out as a 2011 model, same as the current 5-Series, and BMW is readying LCI's for both.
