Obama Campaign To Flood Michigan Airwaves With Bailout Message To Secure Votes
President Obama's senior aides expressed confidence they will carry Michigan during Tuesday's presidential election, and kept up a week-long attack on Mitt Romney's false claims that Chrysler plans to shift jobs building Jeeps from the United States to China.

A pro-Romney political action committee said Tuesday it will air $2.2 million in advertising in Michigan as a new Detroit News/WDIV poll showed the race tightening with Obama holding just a 2.7 percentage point lead in the state.

The Obama campaign will launch its own ads tomorrow in Michigan that will focus on the president's decision to rescue the auto industry - saying it would follow any late money into any potentially competitive state.
