Automotive Bailout Becomes Key Factor For Obama Re-Election Bid

Clarissa Wright says Barack Obama’s decision to bail out the U.S. auto industry gave the president the edge he needed to win Ohio, and ultimately, re-election.

Wright, 36, who operates a state-subsidized day care center in East Liverpool, Ohio, near the Pennsylvania and West Virginia borders, says the president needs more time to undo the damage to the economy she blames on his predecessor, George W. Bush.

“I love Obama, I really do, and I think he’s had a rough time of it,” she said. “The auto bailout helped Ohio a lot and I think it was a good thing for the country.”

Perhaps one has to blame the Bush administration for Obama's re-election.His administration screwed up the economy so bad that this is the backlash.Trickldown didn't work, 2 Middleast wars have cost this country billions of dollars. "Refuse to return to work"?For what job?
Either there aren't any or none with the same payscale that were previously available. Can't pay your mortgage or handle your expenses with less pay.You treat this as just a normal recession but your right wing ideas are the same as they were 20 yrs ago.Guess what-This was not a normal recession.Bush started the bailouts but Obama followed through and finished them.Ohio gets that.Further welcome to the new world order. The percentage of white voters is down and percentage of blacks and latinos etc. are up.Come next election the percentages will be even higher. The new world order. Get used to it.

Lets see. Jobs that pay less than before. Here is the next wave. Under ObamaCare if an employee works less than 30 hours than a company won't be fined for not providing healthcare. Therefore take your workforce and make them all work less than 30 hrs a week. Its about what a Frenchman works so no big deal. No fine, no healthcare expense and the government gets to pay for their healthcare. Oh wait, that extra cost needs to be funded and BO has already soaked the rich. Just raise taxes on the middle class. That's where the real money is anyway.

Another kicker is under Obamacare, starting in 2018, if a family can afford or chooses to buy better health insurance than the socialist horde, they get nailed with a 40% excise tax if the insurance costs more than $10,000. The socialist limit is approx $8800, so if you have the gaul to buy better insurance than your commie neighbour, you pay the price of success.

Translation: Obama bought the election with taxpayer's money, (most of whom didn't vote for him) which he gave to the UAW in return for votes. The margin of victory was small enough that those bought and paid for votes made the difference.

Then those unqualified to run a Lemonade stand must be highly capable people.Let's see. He helped wind down the war in Iraq, he has scheduled troops to leave Afganistan in 2014.Obama simply inherited a pile of shit when he took the oath of office in 2009. If that's the case where did it come from? The only answer is the guy that previously held the office for the previous 8 yrs. Also since he got the majority popular vote (abet buy a small margin). You can say it was bought and paid for. However you could say the same for the bought and paid for votes Romney got from the wealthy. All politician buy votes in one form or another. That is how our system works.Romney lost because enough people simply could not trust him on his changing positions. People can read through Camellions all day long. The GOP had weak candidates and frankly is too fractured to offer a cohesive platform. Further they had some real idiots running for senate this yr.They need to regroup and figure out that it's not just a party of "White Men".

mini22, you're just rambling off liberal talking points. Here are the actual facts: The Iraq war (which congressional democrats voted for) was already winding down when Bush left office. Obama escalated the war in Afghanistan. The pile of shit Obama inherited was in large part caused by the democrat controlled congress that sowed the seeds of the housing crisis. And while I appreciate your candor in admitting that Obama's election was bought and paid for, your accusation that Romney bought and paid for the vote from the wealthy is bullshit. The fact is, Obama won 8 out of 10 of the richest counties in the US. Romney didn't lose because people couldn't trust him. He lost for many other reasons, including but not limited to a biased national media that promoted Obama at every step, ignoring scandals like Fast&Furious, Benghazi, etc. He lost because too many people have been seduced by the appeal of getting "free" shit paid for by other people. The one point I will agree with you on is the assertion that Republicans didn't put their best candidates forward. They left much stronger candidates on the bench.

Bush's timeline and Obama's timeline for Iraq withdrawal were 4 months apart.

The only people celebrating harder than the Dumbocrats is China, the President they bought and paid for scammed/deceived his way into office again thanks to no-education students and lazy 'someting for nothing' Lefties.

I really need for BITTER PItiful Republicans to stop complaining and just get your party together!Realize the following:

1) you can no longer turn off 47% of the country and get elected
2) you can no longer say its a Black thing as they only make up 13% of the popoulation
3) I know plenty of hard working black men and women working twice is hard as their white counterparts in Corporate America and Better Qualified then them and are still skipped over for promotions due to the pigment of their skin.

Call it what you want but this country was built on the backs of those same blacks you put down, and this country treated them like NOTHING for years, so if a less motived Black man or women wants help or support from the government, their people already have more than earned it!

LOL...sorry I can't resist but you forgot to add that blacks support the economy by spending money, theirs or govts (doesn't matter) on expensive things (cars, rims, etc) instead of letting it sit in savings ;)

Jesus did get 50.1% of the vote so Romney's comment is accurate.

How about this. 95% of blacks voted for Jesus and its deemed cook, acceptable, not suprprising.
If 95% of whites voted for Romney, they'd be labelled racist.
