Chrysler Recalls 920,000 Jeep Models For Premature Airbag Deployments
Chrysler Group LLC said Friday it is recalling 920,000 Jeep SUVs to fix a faulty electrical part after more than 100 reports of unintended airbag deployments.

The Auburn Hills automaker said Friday it is recalling 744,922 SUVs in the United States — including the 2002-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-03 Jeep Liberty.

The recall also covers 49,430 vehicles in Canada, 21,828 in Mexico and 103,465 outside North America.

Chrysler said it has reports of 126 inadvertent airbag deployments, including 81 minor injuries.

...An airbag blowing up in the drivers or passenger's face!! This could distract the driver to over react and crash in an instant. Makes Toyota's car run away lies seem like a joke. Hopefully Chrysler caught this themselves.
