SPIED: MINI Prepping A New Four-Door Product
MINI is a very unique company. If you look back into its history, it isn't exactly known for much else aside from the original Cooper.

That's great and all but what do you do when it needs to compete in today's highly competitive automotive market?

Expand the lineup.

And as we've all observed in recent years, that's exactly what MINI has done. Sometimes with much success, sometimes leaving us scratching our heads. Take, for example, the Cooper Countryman, which has been well received. Or how about the new Coupe and Roadster, which can be considered moreso style pieces than utilitarian MINIs.

Now it appears that MINI is going to go in yet another direction. From the latest spy photos, it pretty evident that MINI is working on a four-door MINI Cooper. Of course that will please plenty of the folks who have avoided purchasing the Cooper due its "impractical," two-door setup.

Its all about branding, personal needs and personalization. No other car hits all these bullseyes like a Mini and is why people pay a premium to own one. I bought my first one...its a hoot to drive, the
fuel mileage is very good and because of the multitude of personalization options I have received more positive comments and met more new people (Mini owners are approachable unlike high end metal owbners) then any car I've ever owned. It is not perfect but has tons of personality.
