SPIED: What Do YOU See WRONG With This Picture? Mercedes GL SPIED In SoCal

Our very faithful Fred Khaz is up to it again. While cruising the streets of SoCal, he happened to run across yet another Michigan-plated, manufacturer car. But something was different.

A bit off, actually.

When Khaz shot AutoSpies a note referencing an element of the shot was awry, I noticed it actually was standard.

However, there is ONE thing that's OFF in this photo. The question is:

Hate to break it to some of you but the standard GL and ML models do not show tailpipes. The appearance package is required. I agree that hybrid is a good guess, given that other Mercedes-Benz hybrids now have double-zeros in their names in the US.

What The Hell are you talking about ?

The Standard Petrol and Diesel GLs that i have seen ALL HAVE VISIBLE EXHAUST PIPES.

I have a 2012 ML350 and the exhaust is not visible.

In the US they don't- at least on the 350/450 models. Not sure if that clears things up for you.

Michigan License Plates. The GL500 badge looks pasted on. Must be a fake.
MB needs to move to Audi like design. These GL and GLK boxy designs are getting very stale.
