Who Is Watching Who? Texas Police Cars Account for 70 Distracted Driving Crashes In 20 Last Months

An NBC 5 investigation has found many Texas police departments don't follow their own advice when it comes to warnings about distracted driving. Crashes involving distractions inside police vehicles now frequently happen across the state.

The list of distractions continues to grow. In many cities, they're often found operating two-way radios, smartphones, dashboard-mounted computers and on-board cameras while they drive.

Apparently a child was nearly killed this year just a couple houses away from mine in a 25mph zone.

We desperately need police to stop whatever they are doing and start patrolling the 25mph zones in our residential areas. Young children can't even play in the street anymore in front of their own house. These jerks who repeatedly scream through neighborhoods at 35mph+ need to be taught a lesson.

Problem is police receive their calls on the laptop so they always have to look at it. the technology that was invented to help decrease response time has also become a dangerous distraction. Kind of a double edged sword if you ask me.
