A bit skeptical as the Enzo wasn't extremely light and this one will have more stuff in it. Sure the body might be lighter but usually it's the extra stuff inside that ups the weight. Either way this is probably the dry weight which isn't exactly how cars are operated or usually weighed.

I agree with your comment but this isn't the 70's so I doubt Ferrari is making a claim that's going to raise a lot of concerns. Perhaps we're about to see the emergence of cermaic engines...

Well they wouldn't be lying in stating a dry weight, but curb weight is different. Supposedly the monocoque is 30 lbs lighter so once it's all set and done with the extra electrical components and all I am guessing around 2,800 curb weight as measured in US magazines. That would still amount to about 450 lbs of weight loss over the Enzo which is already a huge weight loss in a car with more stuff in it.
