The M135i has a mighty twin-scroll turbo engine and uprated rear-wheel-drive chassis, and promises to be the hottest hatch money can buy. Yet it’s more expensive and powerful than traditional pocket rocket rivals, with prices starting at £29,995 for a 316bhp three-door manual model.

My gosh, who in the hell approved that hideous front end on the 1 series. That alone would stop me from even considering this car. I don't care how well it performs, nothing can make up for that face! those eyes are horrid. I don't see how they expect to sell any here. My guess is they will bring it here, no-one will buy it and they will cancel the 1 series because they will think there is no demand for a smaller luxury vehicle. such a shame people will miss out on the only BMW with the driving dynamics that won people over. I hope they realize that they will need to overhaul that front fascia if they ever hope to sell more than a few. And this is coming from a BMW guy! In this case, I'd have to take the Subaru.
