BMW owned MINI Cooper S full of surprises

On first impressions, this is a cracking powerplant - tuneful, eager and linked to a brand new six-speed gearbox that has slicker and more precise shifts than before. If the prototype is anything to go by, keen drivers won't have much to worry about, either.

Does anyone think MINI completely messed up the interior with the new one? As a big fan of the current MINI Cooper, I thought the interior was fantastic - I don't know why they felt the need to completely revamp it. I also don't like the headlights being fixed to the grill part of the car - they were better on the hood. The only thing I like about this new one is the key fob and the Start Engine button.

PLEASE DON'T DESTROY THE MINI!!!

What's the point, just turbo the old one, it's a nicer car, the new one looks cheap with that weird interior button shape, and they haven't done anything to it, despite claiming that it's gonna be a big thing.

Why change something completely when it's perfectly fine, though? I think there are a lot of cars that could use an interior redesign, but MINI has one of the best interiors right now. It's awesome - why change it? I can see tweeking a few things here and there, I guess, but a complete new design? No reason for that - at least right now.
