RIGHT NOW, WHICH German Brand Is YOUR Favorite?

RIGHT NOW, WHICH German Brand Is YOUR Favorite?
In the never ending battle for the supreme German automaker, only one can stand proudly as the holder of the crown. But we've noticed that there is definitely a cyclicality in this endeavor.

In other words, one manufacturer can't remain on top forever.

Agent 001 and I had a conversation the other day after the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show where we were discussing the German brands. He told me that he use to be a BIG fan of Mercedes-Benz's products and adored just about all of them. Now though he seems to find more to like in the current lineup of Audis and BMWs. It was this conversation that spawned the story.

For me, I have to say that while I use to be a Bimmerphile, I have jumped ship to Mercedes-Benz and Porsche's products.  What can I say? The AMGs get me everytime.

That said, we want to know -- Where Do YOU stand RIGHT NOW? WHICH German brand is YOUR favorite?

Below you'll find some examples of what was brought to the Los Angeles Auto Show...

**By the way, I know what you're thinking: where's VW? We're keeping it to the luxury players tonight, folks.

So, that doesn't really tell us which brand you prefer over the other or how that's changed over time...

They still do handling and road feel like no other. Other than the 911 Turbo, not a car I would take a to drag race, but on a winding mountain road or race track, few others compare with the overall car experience.

1. Mercedes/Porsche are tied
2. Audi
3. BMW, but way down the list. Their quality and customer service is horrible. Owned BMW the last 15 years and after my last BMW, I will never own one again.

1. BMW [innovation, design language, value]
2. AUDI [come the furthest in the past 5-10 years, loving the simplistic design language, exterior details eg.lights, not so crazy about interiors yet]
3. BENZ [retro agressive grills were a step in the right direction, impressive interiors, luxury benchmark, handling/sportiness improving over the years]
4. PORSCHE [needs more models, exterior design needs to be a further departure, interiors improving but not as innovative]
