just check out the attached link for this ugly box from MB - http://media.autobild.de/bild/0/4ec9c1eddc0a5080b9c8d0e9f15f0110_1.jpg

mbrules,

Remember that those GLK pictures are just poor photoshops. Expect the REAL GLK (or MLK?) to look like a shrunken, more dynamic-looking ML.

Matthew,

I hope you are right and it is just photoshops, but it is Huckfeldt and he has a track record of being on the money with these things. Last week Autobild ran a poll on 5 cars of the future the GLK finishes 4th out of the five. I have asked Agent 001 to post these photos as a separate story, Let's wait and see what others have to say.

Looks like an X3 XL.... Its ok but no real looker. Looks to me like much of the same.

There is ONE photo where you can only see the front and a bit of the side... not exacty enough to make any sort of real conclusion from.

From what I can see it looks surprisingly like the original, but that is to say very good. A bit more agressive but evolutionary in it's design for sure. I look forward to seeing more photos soon so we can REALLY make a judgement.

Somehow I don't find this car all that appealing. The X5 needs to look a lot more aggressive. Seriouly?

I think bangle felt bad when he read ur comments about him so he tried to change in this X5 :p u r the respnsible ones for it not being agressive enough!!!
but it looks cool to me.

What are you guys talking about? It looks like an X3? Whats its suppose to look like? I can see if you said it looked like a lexus or something. I mean their are in the same family of course their going to look alike. For instance look at the Gl and Ml they look identical inside and out.

it looks like an x3. and x3 is the ugliest BMW ever made. I like the current X5 a lot. I love the bold, luxurious styling.

Possibly, only the MDX rivaled the old X5 for styling IMHO, however, there is once again no competition with this new update, not that I'm in the market for any gas guzzlers anymore.

mediocre, not a stunning improvement, more like a facelift.

What does that have to do with this????

GLK/MLK whatever you want to call it is a friggin Jeep Commander to me!. The side profile from what I see resembles the Commander. See how much MB is taking from Jeep? The Interior will probably look like the R-Class/ML-Class/GL-Class. Their all basically the same! Mercedes needs to go back to the drawing boards with this one. The ML with sport package looks nice but the GL looks like an ML on steroids in turn looking real ugly.

I like the rims on the X5 but the design will have to grow on me. All designs eventually do.

I am very worried about this new X5. as far as i am concerned the current one is by far the best looking SUV on the roads today and even though i put a deposit on the new model, the spy pictures ive seen so far have done nothing to ease my worry. The if it aint broke dont fix it theory holds true this time.
BMW do not Eff up my favourite SUV!!!!!

195Speedingtickets - that is what BMW is doing to all their cars

they take a good design and make it bad

5 serises
7 series
3 series
M5
now the X5

The X3 never looked good

the 6 series is nice looking though

i think the last gen 7 series lookos so much betetr than the current one. the last one looked like a proper bmw, the current one looks like a blob.

X5's got uglier...
