If The New 2014 Corvette Has Interior Quality That Is Only On Par With The Top End Camaro Is That A FAIL?

If The New 2014 Corvette Has Interior Quality That Is Only On Par With The Top End Camaro Is That A FAIL?
The 2014 Corvette has to be one of the most anticipated new cars of all time.  To a majority of us, the Corvette symbolizes that America can compete on a global level with the best the Europeans have to offer when it comes to performance. There is a certain amount of satisfaction about American knowhow one upping those snobby thoroughbreds across the pond.

Now that tune changes a bit when you talk about overall quality.  Yes 0-100, slalom times, and braking performance all look comparable on paper, but the tangibles in the interior have never really measured up to the competition.  Chevrolet just released an interior teaser below of the all-new sports car and to me the overall quality may not have improved as much as we would like to have seen.

To sum it up in a nutshell, the short glimpses I see bear a striking resemblance to a top end Camaro rather than maybe a low end Lamborghini.

Watch the video below and tell us if what Chevrolet has in store for you in 2014 is just FINE or a FAIL!

There is no way to tell from the video what the final product will look like. They know they have to improve the interior and they will.

interior has a lot of room for improvement, and has been my biggest gripe with the Vette. Top end Camaro trim seems to be taking the easy way out

If they want to run with the big dogs and get some respect Vette needs to up its interior game big time. No one likes to spend $50-100k and have to make excuses to the person in the passanger for their purchase.

"most anticipated of all time"??? that's quite the hyperbole.

It would be completely unacceptable if the interior quality, based on current competition and rampant feedback that Chevy has received, is on par with any car below it in the maker's lineup. If the Corvette really wants to compete in and establish its reputation in the upper echelons, it needs to be a complete package. Not to mention that it needs to justify the 6-figure prices.

The camaros interior is just horrible. the plastic seam on the console cut me when I was cleaning between the hand brake on my friends car. it was so flimsy, and razor sharp from the mold seams and excess plastic. If it even 1 step up from the best Camaros interior it will be 20 steps behind the worst interior of of its competittion. It needs an interior worthy of the current CTS to even be taken seriously by people other than brainwashed vette loyalist.
