I am running to the nearest HONDA dealer to trade in my LS 460 for an ACCORD. LoL!

I seriously doubt this new Accord coupe can even touch or get near the current Lexus IS350 in a straight and quarter mile race. According to Road and Track the current Lexus IS350 did 0-60 in 4.8-4.9s and quarter-mile in 13.5s. Plus I don't think people cross shop between a Honda, Lexus, BMW and MB.

I read the article which I thought it's kind of funny because all it said it has a little more horsepower than the new BMW 328i, MB250(my guess) and the Lexus ES350.

But from my understanding the new turbo in the BMW 328i is sedan and coupe is a pretty fast car.

@spaces21,

do me a favor don't talk to me until Honda or Acura has a car that can compete with BMW 7-Series, Mb S-Class, Audi A8, Lexus LS and Infiniti M models. Till then, keep playing with playstation videos games. When Honda and Acura offer a legit 8 engines in their car then I will take them seriously.

And the new Honda or Acura NSX will probably no where near the peformance of the current Nissan GT-R is at right. Don't get me wrong I like Honda and Acura too but I would rather get a Lexus, BMW, MB, Audi or Infiniti over it any day of the week.

spaces21 I am not so sure you know what you are talking about. I have owned ACCORDs and CIVICs before; additionally, I have also owned an MB and currently own a LEXUS. I also bought an ACCORD for my mom back in 2004. HONDAS are great cars but they all had their share of issues (A/C compressors, brake discs, roof liner falling off, alternator). They are not "built" like they were back in the 80's. After upgrading to a MB or LEXUS, you will not go back regardless of how they are "built".

First, I am not saying that but it all depends on which models and years we are comparing.
I do agree with your comment that HONDA makes a hell of a car for $21K, that is why I purchased one for my mom. The issue is that you cannot make an honest comparison since they cater towards different consumers. The funny thing about it is that while most German brands like BMW and MB are actually getting more reliable when compare to their products from the 1980's, Japanese products including my LEXUS seem to be going backwards as you see with the number of recalls and the actual problems I have encountered, this include my my past Civic and Accord. You continue driving your Accord, I will keep my LEX. Thank you!

Hey bud you got your wires mixed up. Honda Accords have always been recommended by Consumer Reports. It was the current model Honda Civic that CR was not thrilled about and poo-pooed.
