VIDEO: DRAG Race - Shelby GT500 vs. Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

According to EVO Magazine, there are essentially two types of muscle cars:

- Those that are from Europe
- Those that are from the United States

If we were to take inventory of the best of the best from both sides, we'd likely distill it down to two products that represent both areas.

Representing the U.S., is the all-new Shelby GT500 with its new, 662-horsepower V8.

Representing the Germans, is the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, which is arguably the best foreign interpretation of a muscle car.

So, how does this all shake out on the dragstrip?

200+ more HP, 100 lbs lighter. I really don't think a 7-speed auto is going to make up for that difference.

the Black series is their best, not the regular c63 AMG.
