SPY PHOTO: Mercedes B-Class coming to the USA?

If it does then it would be a good thing, but the question remains, Will it sell? I think that since it is a hatchback (wagon) it will have a little hard time selling. Also it will sell because of the MB name. So it is to be seen whether it can sell well here. This will determine whether Americans are ready to buy a S3 or any high price hatchback (hatchbacks are usually seen as cheap cars so one above 25K should be seen as a high price cheap mobile - maybe like an overcharge for the car). But then again, gas prices are getting higher so there is a chance that consumers minds maybe changing.

mromar: you are hilarious. How is a car unapropriate? You mean unpractical? I beg to differ. Unattractive? I agree with you.

I see it quite often here in the West Coast as well. It's not the most attractive thing. However, for those who seek a "Yaris-like" vehicle that is badged with Mercedes then this is the car for you. It is pratical and for normal city driving it is quite the car to own. It is easy to park as well as good mileage to it's older siblings in the Benz line up. If you want the prestige you get from a Merc, then this is not the right class you're looking in to.

When I saw this reach Canada, I was laughing at Mercedes. They're trying to capture all the consumers from every segment but it's only hurting their reputation.

B-Class in America,… would be interesting, however I feel Mercedes has to have the interior spot on and built like a tank or it will be pointless. And from some Europena reviews I have read it was not too great….we will see…

Most OEMs have vehicles they test from other countries. A B-class rear shot is posted and this is to be a spy shot? Go to www.mercedesbenz.ca and you will find a TON of "spy shots"

25k dollars is too much for a hatch? 25000 pounds for a hatch only just too much in england.
b class is stupid. a class almost has a point.
mercedes are trying to make a car for every single person in the world. want a city car? a class. want a slightly bigger city car? b class. want a 4 wheel drive mpv? r class or gl class. want an mpv? viano. they fill every single segment and often create new ones.

Oh most definately, if Smart is heading to the US then no doubt the A and B Class is really pointless. I would go for the smart car myself. At least it's not an excusve to own a Mercedes because Smart isn't a Merc. However the front headlights has resemblance. Nevertheless, if someone is going to go as far as a A-Class or B for practicality as well as fuel efficiency then they might as well go get the Smart. Or if they do want the A and B's physical size they might as well get a Yaris or an Ecko! and save much more.

i dont like the B-class at all. its just a slightly bigger A-Class to me.
