VIDEO: Volkswagen's Golf R Cabrio Is REAL - But Something's OFF In This Video, Can You Guess?
Volkswagen is one of my favorite brands, I have to admit.

I am a bit bias -- I've own(ed) a couple.

That said, there's something special about the R's. Well, actually, I should say there USE to be something special about the R's. Not the case anymore, but I'll save that for another story.

Something that's been more or less of interest is if VW would actually produce a Golf R ragtop. I mean, in all honesty if there's one thing the Golf R DOESN'T need, it's:

1) MORE weight
2) A HIGHER price tag
3) SLOWER times

But, VW apparently went ahead and did it anyway. At least that's assuming this promo video is the real deal.

However, there's one significant mistake in this mini commercial thing. Do YOU notice it?

Let us know what it is in the comments below...

Are grammar rules for blog writers different than grammar rules for literate English speakers?

I am a bit bias. Wrong. I am a bit biased. Right.

..there USE to be ... Wrong. ...there USED to be... Right.

Such mistakes make the whole article seem tainted and not trustworthy.

if i had to bet its the soundtrack. specifically the sound of the motor, this car has a 2.0 inline turbocharged 4 but in this promo it sounds like its distant cousin the Audi R8 V8. just my $.02

DING, DING, DING!

YOU are the winner!

That's definitely NOT the sound of the Golf R.

Though I can't confirm what it was, my ears were thinking along the lines of the 4.2-liter V8 found in some RS cars and the R8.
