Volkswagen Creates Snowareg To Tackle The Worst Conditions That Winter Can Give

Almost every automaker had their version of the perfect car to replace Santa Claus’ outdated, eight-reindeerpower sleigh, from AMG’s SLS cookie machine to a very special Lamborghini Aventador.

There is, however, one thing different about this one, the VW Snowareg – it actually exists! It was originally made for VW Sweden, using a rubber track conversion system provided by Minnesota company Mattracks on modified VW suspension.

VW creates some interesting concepts and it's too bad they don't follow through. In particular, the three wheeler GX3 was brilliant and might have been as successful in its innovation as was the beetle in its era. It would be great if one of VWs subsidiaries would finally develop the GX3 as a kit.
