10 Underrated Brands

I think Volvo should replace Saturn. Saturn doesn't have anything going for it except the sky roadster. Volvo at least has the XC90 V8, new C70 hardtop convertible, and the new S80 that's coming out with an available V8.

In my opinion :

Hyundai has come a long way. Same goes for KIA. They have improved their line up with many new models that don't appear to be as "cheap" looking as before.

Saab: they don't make bad cars. If you know about its history you should know they are not poorly made vehicles. very very underrated brand.

Infiniti: not until the 2003 G35 sedan/coupe came out, the company was totally revamped with a new vision for design. Underrated but slowly moving its way up.

Acura: very underrated as well. You look at the TL and the RL interiors. They are not cheap looking or cheap feeling materials. In ways it's better than "some" mercedes fitting & finishing.

Dodge: a lot of plastic materials used but they have some good technology in that hemi. Reliability is another issue however.

Saturn: has some promising designs and potential hits but many misses.

Volkswagen: great quality builds for competitive pricing with Honda/Toyota.

Lexus: interior for some models are good but some misses as well. Not all models are rebadged Toyota's. Luxurious eitherway.

Audi: now Audi is a different story. To me some models are just rebadged Volkswagens. The interiors are very similar almost identical in some aspects. good quality builds.

In the German auto-world, it is true that people look at Mercedes as being more luxurious, BMW has being sport/luxury, and Audi a little of both worlds but they do get less respect than the BMW and Merc's. All are great in their own ways but when it comes down to it it's really just personal preference and which companies give you better service. It's all hype, advertising, and which car your favorite celebrity has purchased. (IMO)

WHAT!! Load of crap. Hyundai is not underateable, they don't make cars! They make cheap plastic on wheels, glued together with Pritt Stick.

Does D3WADE work for Ford or something? I think the Ford's should be on the over-rated list. I still don't understand what people see in the mustang. Maybe I'm too young to understand them but retro looks IMHO are so uncreative and unimaginative.

However, refering to the list I don't agree with Hyundai's being up there as well. Their ride and material quality are still terrible.

kaisersoze, audis aren't that unreliable. mine had 1 problem, and it was a minor electronic issue with the self-levelling, was fixed.

As soon as you quit being unbiased, I will buy one, but that doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon. I love GM and hope to work for them some day, but ignoring problems and weak areas, as you are doing with beloved Ford, is disasterous. It's one of the many reasons Ford is so close to crashing.

And Cadillac is not underrated, I think everyone agrees that Cadillac was a very sucessful turnaround.
