Hyundai Planning To Replace Keys With Smartphones
NFC is becoming more prevalent in the mobile space. The technology has been featured in a number of smartphones and tablets from manufacturers such as Samsung (005930), Motorola, Nokia (NOK) and Research in Motion (RIMM), among others.

Since its been proven that you can steal the entire contents of a smartphone thanks to NFC, does that mean Hyundai will make it easier to steal their cars? That's rather thoughtful of them.

Although their cars are so cheap why bother stealing one?

Reeks of gimmick like the smartphones touch to download 25 songs. Maybe their cars will come preloaded with Jellybean.

Haha, true, but my main point was this is just a gimmick. Same thing as the Velosturd's 3rd useless door which Saturn had first but they weren't the rage so the Koreans get to lay claim as the inventors.

So thanks to NFC, I can not only steal your phone, I can steal your bank accounts, credit cards and now your piece of crap car.
