REVIEW: Volvo C70 convertible

Volvo has it right. The C70, top up, is sleek enough to seem like a fixed-top coupe. The rear of the top appears to sit a bit farther forward than your eye is used to seeing, though. I never was much of a Volvo design fan before, eventhough they are safe vehicles. But this one is a beauty. Very well design with both top up or down. I think this is the best all around family fun car.

I am not sure, the two competitors that I mentioned match up relatively well. The C70 doesn't display the luxury. It is a nicely styled car, but the 10k cheaper competition offers very similar vehicles.

in the uk the volvos main competition is the bimmer, audi and saab, and now the eos. don't restrict to just tin-tops, include soft tops too.
eos' competitiors only exist in europe. megane cc, 307 cc, astra twintop, and the forthcoming focus cc. oh and the volvo, which is in the us.

Well, here in the US, there will be 3 hard top convertibles for sale this fall. VW Eos starting @ 28k with 200hp, Pontiac G6 convertible starting @ 28k with 200 hp, and the Vovlw C70, starting @37k with 218 hp (there is also a Lexus hardtop @65k) The three cars that I listed are about the same size. There are other soft tops as well. IMO, the Volvo will have a relatively hard time against the much cheaper competition.

the C70's have been out for a few months now, and they've sold very well, most dealers have a waiting list now. We'll see when the Eos comes out though...
