MAZDA MOTORSPORTS ANNOUNCES MAZDA6 SKYACTIV-D TEAM & DRIVER LINEUP FOR 2013 ROLEX 24

About a month ago we brought you the first picture of the 2014 Mazda6 Skyactiv-D Rolex 24 hour race car. It was a stunning car, but we didn’t know much else about the Rolex 24 hour entry. Well, things are a changin’. Mazda Motorsports today announced team and driver line-ups for the 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona, where the manufacturer will be seeking its 24th class win at the most famous endurance race in America. Mazda teams will be racing in an all-new Mazda6, powered by the all-new SKYACTIV-D clean diesel engine, in the new GRAND-AM GX class.

I know many of you are more interested in performance car but there are some of us that require a more practical vehicle. I have 2 young kids and love practical design so I really like the Mazda 5. I wish to God Mazda will put either a Skyactiv petrol or better yet the Skyativ D in the Mazda 5 and make it the ultimately young family hauler. I need to buy a car in the next 4-6 months so I'm hoping Mazda will announce a new engine for the Mazda 5 soon.
