First Real Life Shots Of The All New Lexus IS 'SWOOSH' In From The Show Floor!
You all have been waiting for the next generation Lexus IS, and here are the first real life shots from the debut at the Detroit Auto Show.
The IS line is entry point for most enthusiasts into the Lexus lineup and if they are to succeed against the likes of Audi and BMW they better bring it to the table in either the IS250, IS350 or even the new hybrid. You only get one shot to develop that loyalty with this level of clientele and if you miss here you can count out the buyer for a lifetime. After all just at this show alone there is the new CLA, 4-Series Coupe, and ELR to contend with.
Check out these exclusive shots you won't find anywhere else and let us know if the Lexus scored a hit or a miss with the all new IS.

To me this looks better than the Q50.
This is just MY opinion, though. Actually, I should say this looks much more "interesting" than the new Infiniti Q50.

I can't get over how grotesque the taillights are from the side profile. Fail.

I'm sure this will offend someone as much as I don't want to, but the only way I can describe what I think is that it looks like this car has Down's syndrome in the front.

Flowing lines, original and dynamic, easily in running as best of show. Interior is spot on. Not the Hodgepodge of styles of the new Corvette.

...Lexus is uping their game! It's not if but when Lexus brings out the 2 big brothers, the Lexus LS-F and GS-F...but in the mean time their 2 younger siblings the ES350 and IS350 are kicking serious butt!!

I didn't like it initially when I saw the photos that leaked. I thought it was trying to hard. But I saw some real-life photos of it on the road at another site and it grew on me real quick. I think it will look much better in person than it does under all the lights.
On a side note. What the heck was all this talk of a wagon? Nothing came of that??! Anyone hear anything?

After all the years of bland styling, finally something real cool. The LS F-Sport is real cool too. This will bring more young buyers to Lexus to experience the best service in the industry. Buyers 4 life........Great Job Lexus......

From the side, the butt reminds me of the IS300s rump. Wonder if that was intentional?
Add all the LEDs you want, still doesn't beat BMWs light design.

Lexless has clearly run out of design skill and ideas.
Can you say 'twisted, warped design?"
