As I've said time and time again for the last 15 odd years, I just want alternatives to the traditional petrol engines here in the US, be it hybrid, electric, diesel, etc. So this position taken by BMW, VW, MB etc is much welcome.

I would love to see the M550d make it over here. Last BMW sales person I talked to hadn't even heard about it.
