Getting Serious? Hyundai Building Test Center At Nürburgring Track
Hyundai has announced its plans of building a vehicle test center at the Nürburgring track in Germany.

The construction is already in progress and requires an investment of 5.5M EUR (4.5M GBP). All tests done at this facility will be used by the company's R&D center in Rüsselsheim to help with the development of Hyundai's Euro-spec models. The vehicle test center facility consists of a 3,050m² building which has direct access to the circuit.

I think Kia and Hyundai strongest point is selling their car cheaper than their competitors beside the cheating and lying. But it's also their greatest weakness. I belief your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness.

Here is my point people who buy the Porsche 911/turbo/turbo S, Nissan GT-R, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi R8, Maserati Turismo/S, Ferrari F458 and Lambo Gallardo etc. They buy this car because of the prestige and the racing heritage that sports car has. Nissan GT-R pretty most if not all of the sports that I mention above and still have a hard convincing the Porsche 911 or Aston Martin owners to get a Nissan GT-R.

And the Nissan GT-R is fame legendary. About 20 years ago it was the first legal super sports car that run the Nurburgring in Under 8 minutes mark. And has prove itself on many race track.

In order for Kia and Hyundai to succeed in this segment their sports car has to performance on par with the rest of the Big Dog and they have to sale at a much cheaper price as well. But how cheap are they going to sale it and still make a profit?

And I DON'T owners of all the Super Sports Car that I mention above would trade in their car for a Kia or Hyundai. Sorry Kia and Hyundai this segment is much harder to break than your daily commuters cars.

But hey, more competition is good for customers so I said bring it on. And please......... come up with your own design instead of stealing other auto companies design cues.

But Hyundai and KIA don't need to worry about making profits, that government just picks up the tab as long as they beat/bankrupt the Japs.
