DETROIT AUTO SHOW: Infiniti CEO Says 4 New Models In 4 Years And Redesign Of Entire Lineup
Infiniti will introduce at least four additional vehicles with new engines and transmissions over the next four years, said the company’s CEO.

Johan de Nysschen told Automotive News that the company will also renew every existing nameplate in its U.S. lineup. The accelerated expansion of the brand’s vehicle and powertrain portfolio is, in part, due to the strategic engine-sharing deal between parent company Nissan and Daimler AG.

The new Infiniti vehicles will help the automaker achieve its goal to become a global top tier luxury brand, de Nysschen said. The first of the new models is the 2014 Infiniti Q50 sports sedan, premiered at the Detroit auto show.

I really Infiniti will regret changing the next generation G37 sedan and coupe into a Q50/Q60. I think they should've keep the "G" name because it already have a huge following and history to back it up.

Now they have to spend more money in advertising to make this Q50 a house hold name again. On the bright side they're helping the economy by spending more money : )

I'd pay more attention to Infiniti if they backed off those Hyundai-eque swoopy and creased body panels, "organically" shaped rear lights, and overly-stylized headlights. As they stand, I think of them as really good cars whose styling does not appeal to me (though it may be a hit with others).

But I belief Hyundai copy the creased body panels from BMW.
