In my mind, a car is for being driven. A "connected" car is one in which the pieces all fit together nicely and work well. Being "connected" with the web, email, Google Earth, and such are not a consideration for me. I have a nice smartphone for that, at it does a superb job. Unlike an auto-maker's offerings, I can swap out apps and services I don't like for ones I do, or remove bloatware entirely.

Automatically-makers are NOT known for offering best-of-breed nav systems or screen based user-interfaces (e.g., BMW's iDrive, and just about every factory nav system available). So having a bunch of bullets on a feature sheet doesn't impress me any more than a "Smart TV". (BTW, I have a "Smart TV", and each of the features beyond being used as a dumb high-def monitor are better executed and better presented by a $99 Apple TV. Fortunately, I got the TV for the superb image, and not for the alleged "smarts", which I don't use at all).

That should have been "Auto-makers" and not "Automatically-makers". Damned auto-correct :-(

Worst non sequitur title ever. What the hell does being "connected" have anything to do with being "poseur"? "Connected" means the car has a well integrated NAV/Entertainment/Control system. So what? The car can still be a "poseur" with a great NAV system.

It's like saying: "Ugly? Think again. Toyota Prius wins "Most Efficient Car of the Year Award" from Fuel Efficient Cars Magazine!"

The absurdity of this ...

The S7 definitely has the performance to back it up, MT just tested it and were more than satisfied with its performance.

This MT article/test would have been much more relevant in regards to whether the S7 is a "poseur" than an article appearing in Connected World Magazine (not even a car magazine!).
