What Is The HOTTEST Hatchback In America Right NOW?

As we've passed on the Detroit Auto Show, one thing I noticed was the lack of hatchbacks. And if you think about it, not many hatches made their debut in 2012 that I can think of off the top of my head.

Sure there was the steroid-pumped Golf R and Hyundai Veloster -- plus the Turbo variant -- but aside from that nothing else comes to mind.

Oh yeah, and the Ford Focus ST.

In conversation with Agent 001, we went back and forth on some ideas of which are the creme de la creme but before we spill the beans, I want to know:

What do YOU think the HOTTEST hatchback is in America?

I would still say
1 Mazdaspeed3 for power, handling and price
2 Golf R for refinement and looks
3 Focus ST mix of the above 2
4 Impreza STi
5 Veloster Turbo my least fav and just plain ugly and handles horrible!

I will say this -- The Golf R is not what it used to be. Complete and utter disappointment on so many levels.
