What Is Your Favorite Aftermarket Add On To A Vehicle?
If you’re a regular in the Audi enthusiast forum scene or are familiar with the Targa Trophy road rally series on the west coast, then it’s highly likely that this Audi S5 and its owner need no introducing. Just in case this is all new to you though, this car is owned by Tina Hage, a.k.a. Tina Tbolt, and we think her S5 represents a lot of what is right about the American Audi tuning scene. Even better if you really like this particular coupe… it’s just gone up for sale.

Modified cars aren’t for everyone and that’s particularly the case for cars with body kits. Frankly, movies like the Fast & the Furious series and the now declining sport compact segment gave body kits a bad name. That Audi owners tend to prefer cars more in keeping with design coming out of the many studios of the Audi Design Team also tends to downplay the role of such mods amongst those dialed in to the brand. However, that’s not to say that such builds can’t be done in extremely attractive ways, and Tina Hage’s Suzuka Grey S5 coupe is exemplary of that.

Wheels change the look and can make or break a car's looks. Second change is a performance exhaust.

Depending how deep I go into it I Lower, change wheels, exhaust, intake, chip. In that order. Brakes typically follow.

Well the first thing I always do to my car is the cheapest thing! I tint (smoke not limo) the windows all the way around. I guess thats my first favorite thing to do.

Very few things can affect how a car handles, brakes, AND accelerates. IMHO, too many people focus on chips, exhaust, etc to make cars go faster. Most of which do nothing to affect the other 2 keys areas. Tires and weight will affect all three of these areas. I usually start with tires as that is typically a less expensive and quicker upgrade.

tint first. hate the dark rear window and clear front people drive around with these days. Wheels are okay depending on the car but you better know what you are doing as it's easy to screw up the looks with ridiculous wheels that seem to infest the aftermarket now.

leftfootbrake has it right. Nothing provides more bang for the buck in transforming a good car into a great car than tires. It's about driving vs. posing.

Are tires the first thing you usually upgrade though? I like to shred the factory ones first.
