Could You Be Swayed To Consider An Infinti If The Q60 Looked Like This?
Nissan's luxury brand is currently in the process of reinventing itself, a necessary tactic if it wants any chance of becoming a global player in the premium car market.

It was recently discovered that Nissan nearly decided to shut down its luxury brand, Infiniti, a few years back due to lackluster sales and its inability to establish itself against the likes of Audi and BMW. This news was recently broken by Ward's Auto at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show during an interview with Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer. But instead of shutting Infiniti down, Palmer hired former Audi US head Johan de Nysschen to fix the brand.

It won't...that's the sedan with 2 doors. The G coupe has always had unique head and tailights to the sedan. Obvi this is a rendering based on the Q50 - we all just need to wait for the real Q60 to be shown...probably still 8-12 months away.

No, that render looks like shit! It's a lot harder to make a good looking coupe than simply cutting two doors off a sedan.

Front end. YES.
Back end. YES.
C-Pillar design. NO - deal breaker.

Without that C-Pillar, it could possibly be THE best styled coupe this side of a 6-Series Coupe or Aston.

The G60 should look like the Essence and if it did, yes, I'd rock it.

....Let's see now, the Porky Pig looks with the Honda Accord 2 door look with a copy cat Lexus spindle grill...That's just great Infiniti! Wow, It's almost like they may have fired their retiring old school designers or something.

I'm already a fan of the Infiniti G35 and G37 coupe. And now this new G37/Q60 coupe will be available within 2 years or so. I'm pretty sure the next G37/Q60 coupe will look a lot different from the G37/Q50 sedan and will probably have a lot more horsepower as well (I hope.)

Not my kind of style, really. I`d rather go with a Merc E-coupe.
