Consumer Reports Dings The 2013 Lexus LS For Complexity
It looks like Consumer Reports Magazine is flexing its muscle again with an quick take on the 2013 Lexus LS.

In a quick spin drive of the flagship LS the magazine initially reports:

The flagship Lexus LS 460 gets an update, remaining a luxurious and pampering big sedan. Most changes are slight, but the addition of more complex controls is a downgrade.

Really? Are they kidding us?  It is beginning to appear that they think that consumer demand for more options each year shouldn't come at a cost of dealing with those extra options.

Consumer Report is obsolete. They have lost all credibility.

Consumer Reports reviewing cars, really? Come on, stick to mixers and kitchen cleaners. I just picked up a 2013 Taurus SHO, loaded with everything, and I have been having a ball playing with all the electronics. And, I am 69 years old. It's time these people came into the 21st Century. Just as an aside, I went through Phase 2 Computer school, in the Air Force, in 1971. I have loved anything tech since then. Not all of the seniors are computer illiterate, especially those who buy these cars.

...Are you kidding me??? This guy is a wana be geezer before his time! Consumer Reports testing a friggin 2013 Lexus LS460 and making statements like that? So contradicting I'd say. The Ls is no Porche or Audi A8 in terms of straight line performance but the comparisons made make this guy sound and look like he may own a Hyundai and that's what his dream comparison may be all about. Lord help us if CR is seriously considering taking this serious and doing any further damage to themselves!!!!

...In fact Audi and Porche can only dream of matching the LS's refinement and quality.

Regardless, I would love to own a 911 someday and the wife wants and A5 convertible.

I only pay attention to CR's Microwave and Appliance reviews. Car reviews? You're better served getting that information elsewhere.

i would ding it for cheap looking 2006 avalon interior with a dated screen. The resolution is terrible and it looks like a computer from the 80's. Who would ever give this high marks? Its a joke. A few years old and the interior leather fades and the dash looks like its falling apart.
I used to work in high end car sales and I always thought the LS was the worst vehicle I have ever driven.

Clueless much??? You really don’t get it do you because the LS walks on the competition in every category except performance but that is yet to come.

CR auto information and reviews is the most complete and balanced available, at least in the US. It is a must read.
