Jeep Calls In Oprah At Halftime To Checkmate The Entire Collection Of Super Bowl Ads In One Stroke.

Jeep Calls In Oprah At Halftime To Checkmate The Entire Collection Of Super Bowl Ads In One Stroke.
This is getting boring.

No, not getting bored when any American Company that can pull off a three-peat in anything but all of you supposed ad geniuses in all the other companies (and we don't just mean auto companies), let us make it clear to you.

You just got your asses handed to you.

All your pre-game YouTube leaks, pr company stunts, social media teams begging us to promote went all for naught.

Save your money next year and just let Chrysler have it all.

All your braintrust and all the power you can muster just doesn't seem to be good enough.

Just sit back and watch this over and over again.

Because this one will haunt you all again for another year.

THIS, my friends is how it's done.

Congrats Chrysler/Jeep on THE ad of the 2013 Super Bowl.

Magical.

As if Walt Disney and Steve Jobs collaborated together and sent this down from heaven.

WHY can't the rest of this country have the heart and character of these men and women instead of people  who just want a check, care ONLY about money or don't have the resolve to fight hard everyday for this great land?

Thank you Chrysler for showing the world the HEART of America, making us think as well as honoring the great men and women serving the U-S-A!

It's a nice tug at the heart strings.

The only problem is... Chrysler is no longer "an American company." It's majority-owned by a foreign corporation (FIAT).

This sort of mocks the whole 'wave the flag' intent of this ad, don't you think?

Ummm... Like Chrysler, Dodge and Ram, Jeep is a brand of Chrysler Corporation.

And Fiat currently has a majority ownership of Chrysler
Corporation.

But they want to buy the remaining portion as soon as possible. This was just posted today:

Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has announced that the Italian automaker will complete its merger with Detroit-based Chrysler in 2014.

Speaking with Italy's La Repubblica newspaper, Marchionne indicated that he wants to buy the remaining 41.5 percent of Chrysler directly from VEBA, a United Auto Workers pension fund.

Not an automobile ad. If anything, an armed forces ad. I know the Jeep brand is about American patriotism (look at their model names) but I kind of miss commercials where they show 4x4 vehicles actually being capable of something other than riding on smooth asphalt at 30mph for 2 seconds.

Our military deserves too much respect to be summarily pimped out by Fiat and a self absorbed commie like Oprah.

This was probably the second worst car commercial during the Super Bowl, only beating out the Dodge "farmer" commercial.

Even though I'm not an Opra fan by any means this was a great ad. Jeep has partnered with the USO to help our Military. Thank You Jeep Division and Sergio.

nothing more than posing...the military is a longstanding icon user of the Jeep- the jeep was originally built for the military, thus it is more for convenience (read PROFITS) than for support. Oprah is a socialist, Jeep/Chrysler are no longer american, AND chrysler took bailout money.

So big deal. Chrysler is a global brand
Thanks to Marchione they are still.in.business and employing Americans. Jeep is an.iconic American brand. They support our troops. Great commercial!

They are in business because of the bailout. Fiat is Italy's equivalent of America's mismanaged GM or Chrysler, so I do not expect this buyout to make for a stronger company. Just how exactly is Jeep "supporting" our troops? placing an ad? or is it sending supplies, providing beneficial financing, what exactly? because I don't see it based on this commercial? I see a lot of Hypocracy from the socialist Obama-supporting Oprah, nothing else.

MeanVulcan, The Jeep Division will donate $1 Million in vehicles and funding to be utilized for programs that directly support returning service members and their families. Go to Jeep Operations Safe Return site for the complete info. I agree with the Oprah and Obama relationship you mentioned. The narrator should have been Clint Eastwood or the like.

A heartfelt message about our troops. Awesome!!!

Yet, I find it hypocritical coming from Oprah, an Obama supporter who has a clear disdain for the military and Chrysler, a non-American company who asked for taxpayer bailout without the consent of most Americans. I'm all for Made in the USA, but Chrysler, Oprah, Obama and the Unions do not stand for what is truly American, self-reliance, strong military, leadership, etc.

I did not see this commercial in the top 5 in other shows, so not sure what autospies is smoking lately. My favorite was the Budweiser commercial by far.

MeanVulcan, I agree that Oprah and the Obama Administration have a clear disdain for the military and Chrysler. If I remember correctly at the time Fiat had the resources to get Chrysler. I think Fiat tried aquire Chrysler either from Diamler or Cerebus but never happened. The Obama administration forced Fiat to take bailout money to manipulate a deal in order for the UAW to [at that time] a majority of Chrysler and as Fiat made progress could start buying more shares of Chrysler. Sergio did the right thing in getting outside financing in order to pay back The gov and get them of their back. I have always cheered for Chrysler and it's been sickining to watch the history from the Diamler days to current. The whole bailout thing was wrong and I feel there were better avenues to take. Sergio at least has the insite to realize Chryslers brand identity and even though Fiat owns them they are still and American Brand. No one called Chryslers German when owned by Diamler. I thank everyone in our Military and their Families for all you do.

This looks to have been done by the same folks behind HBO's "PACIFIC" mini-series' sound track.
