If Toyota's New Corolla Looked Like This, Would You Recommend It?

Toyota has been known for making traditional looking designs over the years barring some radical ones like the GT86 . Not anymore. The funky Furia Concept displayed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show gives a preview of the future Corolla. Yes, you read it right. The design cues from this concept will percolate into the next-gen Corolla.

Toyota revealed it’s the Corolla Furia Concept at the NAIAS 2013 Detroit Auto Show giving us a glimpse of Toyota’s future design philosophy. Now our Malaysian friend Theophilus Chin has come up with a rendering of what the new face might will look like.

Toyota says the Corolla Furia concept “hints at the styling cues consumers can expect to see” in North America. “The Corolla Furia Concept is an early indicator of where our compact car design may lead in the future”, Toyota Group Vice President and General Manager Bill Fay said. “It blends a heightened emphasis on dramatic design and modern elements of high technology to generate curb appeal that will surprise a lot of people.”

Finally better looking than Civic and Elantra, with Toyota reliability and efficiency, when can I put down a deposit.

Why can't I deboost? Anyhow, -1. The Elantra looks better than this. Civic, looks just as good as this does though. This design is no big deal.

It looks better than the Camry with that design language.

Front is def Acura, rest I can see as evolved Corolla, especially the back C pillar. Definitely more eye catching than current vanilla one.

I like it a lot and it definitely borrow the front from Acura TSX.

Anyway I wish autospies wouldn't let kids join this website if you know what I mean. Anyway I'm just going to ignore him because I know he need constance attention. Might as well deboost him because he's going to do it to me.

This looks good for a Toyota. Only if the production vehicle would actually look like this

I would only recommend this if a brand's name is what someone was looking for. Other than that, this segment has grown and has far better offerings on the market in the looks department and from what I believe is on Toyota's shelves that they will stuff into the engine bay.

I don't see TSX here, nothing like the oversized chrome grills from Acura.

The size of the wheels are now proportionate to the body.
