WHY Is Chrysler Trying To Take Down Volkswagen? $1,000 Conquest Offer Through March
If an interesting twist of events, Chrysler Group has decided to go after the big bad German, Volkswagen. While Volkswagen is doing its best to hit that magical 800,000 units sold in the United States market, it seems that everyone is targeting the big guy.

At the 2013 Chicago Auto Show Chevrolet debuted the Cruze 2.0 Turbo Diesel, which is the Volkswagen Jetta TDIs direct competitor now. Of course VW has a bit of a leg up on the Cruze as it has more features and it will not harm your wallet as much as the Cruze.

Now we've noted that Chrysler is running a special promotion that specifically targeting Volkswagen lessees and owners. $1,000 cash back through March 4 on ANY Chrysler Group product — Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Ram. AND, Chrysler doesn't even want a trade-in, all you have to do is show your current registration or lease agreement.

But aside from the Dart/Jetta and Fiat 500/Beetle, what other products is Chrysler looking to steal marketshare FROM and WITH what?

Because Sergio and Martin Winterkorn differ on how the european auto manufacturers group should be run. Most say VW is so big it has an unfair advantage, especially in Italy. Although it is reported the two are old friends, they joust thru press releases. So, the answer is, Sergio does this because he can. Go Sergio!
