New Alfa Romeo 4C To Start At $60K And Be Sold At Fiat Dealerships

The Alfa Romeo 4C that is scheduled to go on sale by the end of this year in the U.S. will debut at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland in March, Fiat said Tuesday.

The rear-wheel drive 4C will lead the charge as the luxury sport car brand returns to the U.S. for the first time since Fiat stopped exporting it in 1995.

The car will cost around $60,000 in the U.S. and be sold at U.S. Fiat dealers.

Chrysler majority-owner Fiat plans to make about 1,500 per year at a Maserati factory in Modena, Italy. Half the cars will be sent to the U.S.

What it doesn't have is the racing pedigree, when has Alpha ever raced???

I would prefer the standard 2013 Cayman for $60,800 that would also include the amazing Burmester Sound System, and no other options.

Good luck because they're going to needed it because most people in the U.S. don't even know what an Alfa Romeo is and it's going to around $60,000 and probably way more once you add up all option to it.

I think I will pass and get myself slightly use Nissan 370Z (which IMHO is one of the most Beautiful Sports car out there) and will out perform it as well. And will still have around $35,000 to buy another car or put that money in my retirement fund.

"When has Alpha (sic) ever raced?"

That comment reveals such a profound ignorance of automobile, and especially auto racing history that it almost doesn't qualify for an answer! Ever heard of Enzo Ferrari? Do you know what cars his racing team used before he started building his own? And, by the way, it's "ALFA", or more properly, A.L.F.A which is the initials of the Italian for "Lombardy Automobile Making Corporation." Alfa Romeo, in it's day, was such a racing power in Italy, and in Europe, that it inspired the intense competition that directly led to the independent marques of Maserati and, later, Ferrari. Only a small handful of companies have a more distinguished racing history than Alfa Romeo.
