2013 Lexus RX350 F Sport VS. 2013 Cadillac SRX Which Is The Better Value?
If you’re looking at luxury crossovers, the two vehicles most likely on the list are the Cadillac SRX and Lexus RX350. These two models are the best sellers in the class; the RX is number one while the SRX follows closely behind in second. Both of these models got refreshed for the 2013 model year, so it seemed like good time to compare the two.

We’ll start with the 2013 Lexus RX 350 which saw some minor changes inside and out. The exterior comes more in line with the newer Lexus models by adapting the new spindle grille. Also on the exterior are new headlights with strips of LED lighting. Stepping inside the RX, Lexus has fitted their Remote Touch infotainment system which uses a mouse-like controller to move around Lexus’ infotainment system. Power still comes from a 3.5L V6 producing 270 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque that goes through a six-speed automatic down to either the front wheels or an all-wheel drive system. The RX 350 is rated at 18 City/24 Highway/20 Combined when equipped with AWD.

Looks ok from the rear, but the front end is droopy and looks like some kind of transformer-minivan concept gone wrong.

The SRX is front/AWD, not RWD! He lost all credibility with me when I heard him say that. If you are going to review ANY car, please know basics, such as chassis set-ups. Geez...

The Cadillac is the better value, but both vehicles do what they do well.

Value is also based on resale, and cadillac doesn't come close to the Lexus.....as usual......

resale value is your definition of value. my definition of value is how much car i'm getting for the money paid. in that sense, the cadillac wins for me based on performance and styling. the RX base price is $5000 cheaper though with more equipment. so if you're focused on saving money, the RX is the way to go.

What a tool. The Cadillac beats the Lexus in most areas (horsepower, cost) yet you would rather pay more for, essentially, less car.

Oh, well. You know what they say about a fool and their money...

Not as stupid as you are for believing a Honda is a better built car than a Lexus or Toyota. My God -sportbike could be brighter!

I think a Honda is better made. They are probably the most mechanically sound vehicles out there. The powertrain is reliable in the extreme. Sure, it may not be the flashiest, fastest, luxurious, or sportiest car in the world, but a Honda will keep on running.

I will take the safety and security of the Cadillac. The Onstar system cannot be beat. Directions are easily downloaded to your radio even if you do not have a NAV. How cool is that.Resale value is a bad indicator of which is better. The Asians and Indians only want foreign cars since thats all they know.

i would prefer the cadillac from a styling and performance perspective. but if those things don't matter to you, the RX is the 'value' buy. the AWD model RX starts $5000 lower than the cadillac with more equipment standard.

Performance SUVs are silly. You could probably spend less money on a regular sedan/coupe and get better performance and comparable storage, you'd only lose out on ride height but gain in lower center of gravity. I'm sure most of these performance SUVs would tip on the first corner they ran hard into.

...Ok -PLAY, Let's see what's in you hand? Since you dont seem to take hints very well, let me give you a clue. Name or compare one Honda/Acura that can match the Lexus LFA in 2-3 areas displaying Engineering prowess, Technology, trouble index or durability. Remember, 2-3 areas consitantly. Then, go all the way to the bottom and compare a Honda fit to a friggin cheap Toyota Yaris and tell me what you will/have found. I have already done these researches many times year after year and I keep coming up with the overall same results. Good Luck, because you are goin to need it since you seem to think Honda makes a better car than Lexus or Toyota.

Anyway, back to the question asked. I think if you compare which cost less and which has the better build quality and resale value it would become obvious which is the better overall vehicle and value combined. It's pretty obvious these days that GM can no longer match the Engineering, Refinement and Marketability capability of Toyota or Lexus when it really comes down to it!

I'm sorry, why is it that GM cannot match the engineering (not quite sure why you capitalized that), refinement and marketability (also not too sure what you mean, since there's lots of well-marketed crap out there) of either Toyota or Lexus, other than you saying so, that is.

PLAY, you believe Honda will keep on running, do you? And Lexus will not? You are indeed very ignorant. But indeed, you are also very jealous. Can you not understand why Honda, even in its home country is third in sales behind Toyota and Nissan? Why do you suppose that is so? And in the USA, why is Toyota humiliating and embarrassing Honda in sales? Do you not believe that consumers understand who produces the highest quality vehicles in the world? Your perception of Honda is indeed embarrassingly and ignorantly misguided. I sincerely do not even feel sorry for you if you believe Lexus and Toyota vehicles do not "keep running" or outlast any Honda product. Reliable to the extreme? Did you ever google Honda motor or transmission problems? Your ignorance and jealously is "reliable to the extreme," not Honda's powertrain. Oh, just to give you an real-life example of Honda's "reliable to the extreme," I know somebody personally whose Acura's transmission needed to be replaced after not so many miles. $3,000 worth! I think he would categorize it as "unreliable to the extreme."

if you are leasing the car, it doesnt matter, they are both nice. if you are buying it, you have to be a moron to choose cadillac over lexus.
