Nebraska Lawmakers Considering Bill To Allow Motorcyclists To Run Red Lights

Nebraska lawmakers are considering a bill that would let motorcyclists and bikers run red lights if no other vehicles re around and the stoplight doesn't turn green after two minutes.

Columbus Sen. Paul Schumacher told the Transportation and Telecommunications Committee on Tuesday that the bill is needed because traffic sensors don't always pick up motorcyclists, leaving them waiting at the stop light for too long.

The hidden political agenda is that allowing them to kill themselves will rid the state of pesky motorcycles. If they don't kill themselves the annoyed car drivers will.

You have misjudged me veyron 1001. I have owned many bikes over the years and still have two that get ridden often. I have not yet met a politician who has motorcyclists' best interests in mind or a car owner who isn't annoyed with riders.

The first idiot who gets hit running a red wouldn't be able to call his lawyer's office fast enough to sue the government for telling him it was okay to ride into harm's way.
