2014 ZR-1 Corvette Could Have Over 700 HP
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray hasn’t even hit dealerships yet, but the rumor mill is already churning on possible powerplants for the next Z06 and ZR1 high-performance models.

While most Corvette enthusiasts are more interested in the naturally aspirated Z06′s output, word is the Z06′s performance won’t be determined until the supercharged ZR1 is finalized. It is believed that the next-generation ZR1 will feature an engine that’s evolved from the LT1 V8 found in the base model C7 and could top 700 hp.

1) More of the world should be multiligual, an idea lost on walmart-shopping 'mericans.

2) I shall never rest, the Earth's survival depends on the world community embracing sustainibility. This is how I lower my carbon footprint.

3) Your standards are even rooted in the old-era. HORSEpower. How quaint. Does america still burn witches too? Thus your standard is meaningless to me. As environmentalist John Travolta said, Why rush? If you are important people will wait for you!

1CarSmart1, The Vette gets like 26mpg highway and isn't subjected to any gas guzzler tax. Didn't you try this before? Or do you think that if you repeat a lie enough times that people are going to start believing it? Either way your assertion that the vette is a fuel hog is a complete crock of crap.

Why do I get the feeling that if the Corvette were a European car 1CarSmart1 would be splooging and all over himself over how powerful–and fuel efficient–it is?

No one has to like the Vette (there’s no understanding taste), but at least be consistent.

Just when is enough power reached?

Motorcycles are a hair whisker away from 200HP now and they are close to being lethal. Is 700+ auto HP enough in anyone's hands? Remember, there are no special training or experience requirements to drive one of these ultra high h.p. vehicles being driven on YOUR local street.
