The 2014 Bentley Flying Spur Gets An All-New Look — If YOU Had To Pick, Bentley Or Rolls?

The 2014 Bentley Flying Spur Gets An All-New Look — If YOU Had To Pick, Bentley Or Rolls?
Yesterday, Bentley Motors unveiled an updated, 2014 Flying Spur. It doesn't take too much to note the changes as they're relatively significant. At least when you consider the all-new sheetmetal.

While the initial Continental Flying Spur had the roofline of a Lincoln Town Car that you see every "black car" rocking, Bentley shook things up a bit with a look more along the lines of the range-topping Mulsanne.

In addition, you'll note a new face with a larger front grille, headlights and lower front valence.

Around the back you'll note the oval-shaped, dual exhaust set up that's familiar; however, the rear decklid and new rear taillights are significant changes.

From where we're sitting, we think that this new Flying Spur is a move in the right direction as its more elegant and original.

BUT, we want to know: If it were YOUR money, which would you go with? Would you go for a Bentley or a Rolls-Royce?

AND, to further on that question: WHICH model moves you the MOST?

Bentley Continental GT V-8. If you like driving - it's not even a contest - Bentley hands down. If you prefer to be driven - then Rolls.

Ditto. One is to drive, the other is to be driven in.

If I had the option to choose out of the 2 makes, I would definitely a Bentley because of what blconn said. I love the handling of the GT.

Rolls no contest, it's a class above bentley. Also I think the ghost series drives extremely well from behind the wheel.

Rolls is for the tuxedo set and Bentley for the Armani/Zenga blazer crowd. Make mine a Bentley and my wife's a Rolls.

Rolls, fewer on the road.

Flying Spur. If we are talking Rolls, we mean the Ghost, yes? (The Phantom is a different class entirely.) Between the Ghost and Flying Spur, I'd go with the Flying Spur. I've been test driving the current iteration as I am thinking about buying one used. I find them super fast, super quiet, super stable on the road, and it seems as though they will be more so in the new iteration. The Ghost is a great car, of course, and I cast a longing eye in part because it is a bit rare to see one. But there seems to be a bit more British-ness expressed in the Bentley products, which is a sentimental plus for me. And I'd get to save enough money for a new Patek Philippe watch! Maybe two?

That's "all new?" Ha ha haaaaaa. There not a dimes different in this "new" design. Adding a couple of LED's to the headlights does not make for a "new" design. Those British are such kidders!

Love the New FS. Bentley is the sporting gents' car, Rolls is a bit toffee nosed. The Queen drives in a Bentley. Enough said.
