What suprises me is why do people buy this type of vehicles.I drove a Porche Cayenne that belongs to a friend and I can surely say the ride is punishing at best.Im not sure about the Range Rover. When I want to cruise fast I will choose a sports car for twisty roads. When I go on a road trip say to the mountains I want an SUV that can carry all my luggage and my family in safety not speed.I think the Suburban is the best road trip vehicle period. Thats why it is the longest running model in automotive history.

The reason why you see these models is that they can trick some buyers into believing they have the best of both worlds. It's like a multi-tool. Sure, it will work okay for several different things but having the proper tool to get the job done is always best. The worst part is, none of these "SUV's" do any one thing great except drain your wallet. The Range Rover is good at off road but who in their right mind would take something that expensive off road...?
