They may not be everyone’s favorite carmaker, but there’s plenty of interest in aftermarket packages for Lexus models – from the IS to the LFA – across the globe. SEMA has certainly had its fair share of customized cars from the Japanese marque on display over the years, while over in the Land of the Rising Sun there are countless tuners you can call upon to create bespoke parts and add some more horsepower for whatever model of Toyota’s luxury brand you happen to drive. Yes. The japanese are known for their "high class" tuning.

NOT.

I'm surprised there is no neon lights under the car.

The Germans can be just as bad but the Japanese take it to a different league.

Let me see if I get it...You first buy an expensive car. Then you throw a lot more cash at it to change its looks. Then when you trade it in you take a huge hit below what you would have gotten if you had left it alone. The moral is...How cool do you want to be ? How much are you prepared to loose ?

You buy it for a lot of money and then put alot more money in it.You lower it and put big mufflers etc. Then it costs about the same as say a Corvette. The problem is a Grandma driving a Corvette will smoke these tuner cars all day long. Gotta love it.

I'm amazed (but shouldn't be) how a discussion of Lexus tuner cars can get de-railed into a discussion of UAW -built Corvettes. Can we get any further off topic than that? Maybe Oscar-night wardrobes?
