Still not enought power in the inline six(3.0si). Can't even touch the FX35. And the FX45 is faster than the 4.8i. But the X5 is a wayyyy better car.

Why does the V8 has less HP that the current 4.8is?

I guess you are all jealous. Admit it, it is a beautiful SAV, and no one makes them better than BMW.

After looking at the new X for a second day I think BMW really has hit a home run in exterior design and the interior is refreshing clean and not cluttered with a million knobs and switches, while very sporty at the same time. While I like the Toureg, Cayenne and Q7 (all the same platform), and ML after seeing the new X, it is much easier to appreciate the X than the others.

I really like this new X5. I must commend them for keeping the climate control buttons off of the I-Drive. I wonder if the gear selector will offer any tactical feedback. No "feel" may force the driver to look down to see which gear your in.

um... now that's goooorgeous, inside and out. love the new interior. haven't been fond of all the recent bimmer interiors but they did a fantastic job with this one. kinda audi-esque by the looks of the materials, color scheme, and those chrome touches. looks really premium to me.

this thing is going to fly off the shelves....
