Damnit, Agent009!! You beat me by less than one second. Oh well.

More importantly, BMW's growth in the U.S. has been anemic to start 2013. For comparison purposes, Audi's sales are up 17% YTD while the BMW brand is up just 0.6% YTD.

Yes, Audi sells far fewer cars in the U.S. (meaning the percentage change will be greater for Audi) but BMW's sales in the U.S. have been dismal so far.

The Mercedes-Benz brand was up 21.9% in February and is up 16.1% YTD.

BMW better have some stellar sales numbers soon if they want to remain the best-selling premium luxury brand in the U.S. for 2013.

GermanNut for once we agree. BMW's sales have been horrible. Mercedes c is outselling the 3 again. The E and 5 are neck and neck. If BMW can't keep up, they will def not retain the sales crown. Funny, because I think the only way they kept it last year is my fudging numbers. Finally, Mercedes is about to introduce CLA and A class in the USA. I think that will be the last straw.

Makes you wonder if BMW is holding back on lease subsidies lately for some reason. This is a price driven market and with BMW low lease prices means big sales.

Well, that's only because BMW don't have enough 5GT and 3GT to sell. People are absolutely clamoring for those BMW's GT models, right JRobUSC?

Haha yeah. I think the competition is just getting a lot tougher. Buyers in the segment have many good competitors to look at.

They take credit when things are going well and look outside (the weather) in this case when things don't go well. I guess the weather is different where you have BMW, Lexus, and Audi .....lol !!

Living in the snowbelt, it's true that snow doesn't hamper travel all that much in terms of day to day life.

I will say that I will never buy a new vehicle in the winter time though. Prefer to buy late spring/early summer so you have time to get a undercoating on the vehicle before the mag chloride or salt gets a crack at your new ride... just my $.02. Lame excuse by the CEO though.
