Akio Toyoda To Shake Up Toyota’s Top Executives In Effort To Regain Lost Ground
This week Toyota will reshuffle its top executives, according to anonymous sources.

Akio Toyoda, who became president of the company in 2009, has reduced the number of board directors and offered more power to executives in key markets, part of his effort to refocus the automaker on manufacturing and quality after a series of crises. These changes are intended to bring Toyota back as the world’s top selling automaker and to surpass rivals such as GM, VW and Hyundai.

Getting there. Toyota was more like Ford than GM. They realized their issues before it was too late, they are still cleaning up the old regime.

Good news for Toyota that Toyoda isn't resting on his laurels in regaining what they lost. Get some more new blood in the boardroom and make the new ideas a reality instead of bean counting.

BINGO Agent 009!!! Yes, Akio and those new VP's and new board members brought in the current shift we see happening and a more proficient new way of doing business, after cleaning up the mess made by the proffessionals who ran things right after his father left the CEO helm in the late 90's.

The purge of the bean counters may be complete. Anytime you let the accountants run the show you lose the ability to appeal to the public at large.

...I absolutely love the way Toyota and Lexus use their vast financial and engineering resources. In the end of whatever you do and achieve, you cannot allow the competition to move you away or distract you from quality as your top priority, second only to profit. That's one of my quotes by the way it's free without the penalty of plagiarism. Akio Toyoda is a GEM!

...Hyundai is not even on the same page as TMC -sportbik. TMC has a few living heirs right behind Mr. Akio who are just as ambitious, thus keeping Toyota/Lexus in the ring and on top for decades to come. Hyundai on the other hand, can only play the value game at best and just dont have that original PROWESS or WOW factor that Toyota has had from it's conception. Stick around bud, you just may learn a thing or two. If you really wanna be and stay in the know, you absolutely have must go behind the scenes and find out a little history, find out where the passion comes from and who really are making the final decisions (the decision makers. It's okay to be a fan boy for a while, but that gets old and you just have to dig deeper my friend.

It's good to have companies like Hyundai and Kia nipping at the heals of Toyota. It keeps Toyota and other larger car companies from becoming too complacent.
