Mercedes tops BMW to extend U.S. luxury lead

The U.S. sales of Mercedes-Benz grew by 22% in February 2013 as it further widened its lead this year in the luxury auto segment. Mercedes hopes to oust BMW, which took the top spot last year. True but isn't it the same for all other premium car brands? Think about the 3 series, IS/ES, A3/A4s and so on. They all are entry level luxury catering to those aspiring to get into the brands. Nothing wrong with that.
