SPIED: An All-New Mazda6 Is Caught On Camera But Sporting Some Oddities — What's Up Here?
A user-submitted photograph of a blacked-out Mazda6 recently arrived in our inbox and while we see tons of camouflaged and developmental vehicles, this one is a bit more weird than the others. That's because it is completely naked, has been stripped of its badges.

And, it's a vehicle that's currently on the market, which is even more peculiar.

Thanks to Fred Khaz, we've got images of an all-new Mazda6 sporting some serious sensors on the windshield — similar to what you'd find with a car with lane assist and radar-guided cruise control — and distributor plates.

Clearly Mazda is working on some tech in this tester.

Isn't this a little late? The car with those sensors are already on dealer ship lots! Its the foward obstruction warning , smart city braking system, and lane departure warning.. By the way this car looks amazing in person, drives well too.

Not necessarily.

Automakers continue developmental testing after vehicles are launched, BUT more importantly I wish I was there so I could have heard the powerplant.

It would be interesting to see if a hybrid or diesel option is in the pipeline...

Diesel has already been confirmed through Mazda, 2.2 Litre twin turbo diesel. Specs to be revealed later, hp and tq., they are expecting horsepower to be 190 ish and torque around 330 for the states. Also Mazda has been working on a hybrid system with Toyota, basically a prius inside and a Mazda6 outside.

Don't know where you get the info from, but the diesel version is already on sale in Astralia with 174hp/310ft-lb.
There is a less pressured version with 154hp only.

Well we're talking about the USA. The diesel will be available here in June.
