STUD OR DUD? Jaguar's 3 Series Killer Caught In the Wild

STUD OR DUD? Jaguar's 3 Series Killer Caught In the Wild
Jaguar's crucial new compact saloon has been spied in testing for the first time. The new baby Jaguar, prototypes of which have been seen in both the UK and  Sweden, will be a compact and lightweight rear-drive saloon that will spawn other body styles and spearhead a significant sales expansion for the brand.

However, the new line won't be an obvious rival for established premium cars such as the BMW 3-series and Audi A4, according to senior sources. It will attempt to outpoint the German opposition by emphasising its lightweight aluminium construction and cutting-edge, super-frugal four-cylinder engines.

Looks nice, but a little like the buick regal from the side with its sharply sloped rear side window

Looks like an XF that shrunk in the drier. Not a bad thing since the XF is an attractive car, but is showing its age.

Which also means it looks better than the trash from honda, nissan and toyota; even camo'd it clearly looks better the birdlike tl, the sea creaturish g37 or whatever, and the alien is350.

I don't know how you can judge this as a stud or a dud since it's not close to what the car will look like. It's wearing XF metal and is still developing. This is a dud of an article!

Better than C, 3, A4, IS, or anything on that class...BUT...it wont be comfortable for rear passengers , but I 100% it will push Jaguar..I big push.

good proportions + silhouette (obviously styling details are still hidden).

this segment gets more intriguing every generation.

interestingly, this is probably close to as big as the early-80's xj6!

i think my pick would be between this or the c-class...with strong consideration for the 3er and Q50.

the body looks okay, but what jumps out to me and looks horrible if they keep the same specs are the tires! They look so small! From the side photo and the rear angle photo, there is too much space between the tire and body.

Looks like a Pontiac! Not a good omen.
