SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's Upcoming S-Class Coupe Seen In The Wild
One upcoming product we've been covering pretty extensively is the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe — formerly known as the CL. Word on the street suggests that Mercedes feels that the CL nomenclature was confusing folks of its status. I find that hard to believe considering its six-figure pricetag, but whatever.

The S-Class Coupe has always been the brand's top-of-the-line products featuring many of the S-Class sedans' features and then some. We expect more of the same in the upcoming coupe.

From what we see through the camouflage-wrapped Benz, it's pretty clear it will be a styling evolution rather than a revolutionary design change. Its lines will get more streamlined and smooth but don't expect any radical changes.

Probably the most interesting image in this collection is when it is parked next to a current-gen CL Coupe. Note that its greenhouse — the glass — has decreased but the overall size of the vehicle remains the same. From this angle, the all-new car appears to be shorter than the current model.

I know it's heavily camouflaged, but it just doesn't look large enough to be based on the S-Class.

S-Class Coupe ?

Is that a long winded way of saying CL ?

Just like the E-Class Coupe replaced the CLK, the S-Class Coupe is replacing the CL.

I think they are making their nameplates easier to understand. All those acronyms give me a headache.
