WHY Do People Do Dumbass Crap Like THIS To NICE Rides?

WHY Do People Do Dumbass Crap Like THIS To NICE Rides?
Taken by our very own Agent 001 in SoCal, this E90 BMW 3-Series sedan is sporting something truly heinous. Next to its 328i badge is an M3 decal.

...

We are not entertained.

WHY? Why do people insist on doing something, like this, which is SO stupid and — frankly — silly?

It's clearly not an M3 and doesn't have the powertrain mods to even make it somewhat similar, performance wise, to the legendary M car.

Located in New Jersey is the legendary Ferrari F50 that's seen sporting a "Plymouth" badge. I kid you not.

That said, WHY do YOU think people do dumbass crap like THIS to their nice rides?

In Orange County, CA there tons of MB C-Class C250/C300/C350 with AMG logo on it and at the same time they still have the C250/300/350 on the other side of the trunk.

I know it's a regular model and not the C63 AMG by the way the engine sound when they step on the gas and the bulge on the hood. And the NO Quad exhaust or AMG body kit on it.

And the stupid and funny part they actually think by putting that AMG logo would make their car faster. IMAO....... every time I see them on the street.

Unfortunately MB actually offer their cars with the AMG badges from factory.

So a C250 Sport would have an AMG badge on the trunk because it has AMG Wheels, side skirts and drilled brake discs.

On the interior it would have AMG sports seats, steering wheel and other AMG labelled stuff.

I´m selling new BMW´s in Berlin, and here in Germany 99% of the cars are delivered without any badges, especially the big ones.
Putting an M3 badge on a 328iA is usually made by those folks
that preferred camels or donkeys as their daily "driver".

bingo. in the US, a car without a badge is presumed to be the base model. in germany, a car without a badge is typically top of the line. wide cultural disparity.

Because 99.99% of Americans that see the "M3" badge will believe that it's an actual M3. It's posing really. I'd bet that most of that guys friends talk about that car along the lines of "You see Bill's BMW M3?"

Funny thing is, in Europe BMWs have no model badges on them. One has to guess what type of engine the car has.

He must know my neighbor. He has a 2007 Dodge Ram Hemi-Express with SRT-10 decals on the side of his truck. I know it's a Hemi-Express because he and I test drove it right before he bought it.

They probably blame the recession for being too poor to buy a legit M3. Or just lazy, I don't know.

Let en-light you. I see in my country I see MBs With AMG badge and BMWs with M badge ..but At least HERE , we Understand is a reference to for the COSMETIC (EXTERIOR) PACK...so you can see 535M or c250AMG, Now if you see C63 or M3 most of the times will be the right thing, otherwise is just the exterior part.

So Lexus ..you are wrong and I95SPEEDINGTICKETS is right. If You see a regular 3 series that say M3 or a regular c that say C63,....then you can assume that the user is a pretender...
