As long as they lump all Asian car makers together instead of singling out Japan. S.Korea to Europe unit sales are about 400K to 15K a year, so its not just the Japanese getting favorable trade balances.

Until recently, the Japanese had to contend with a higher currency and still sold well, so there must be more reason than just "protectionism".

Perhaps Ford needs to do a better job in Asia to make their cars desirable, repeat the success they've had in Europe instead of blaming Japan.
